Ethan Vodde is an intellectual property attorney at Gray Ice Higdon, PLLC, with a practice focused on trademark, copyright, domain name, and brand protection. He represents clients in federal courts, proceedings before the U.S. Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and marketplace enforcement actions.
Ethan is admitted to practice in Washington, Oregon, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington, the District of Oregon, and the District of Colorado. He previously served in the chambers of Washington State Supreme Court Justice Steven González and has held leadership roles as President of the Spokane County Bar Association Intellectual Property Section, on the Executive Committee of the Washington State Bar Association IP Section, and as Subcommittee Chair for the International Trademark Association RPC’s Annual Meeting subcommittee.
Ethan is consistently recognized in the profession, including as a World Trademark Review 1000 “Silver” honoree (2024–2025) and a Managing IP “Rising Star” (2024). He is a frequent speaker on intellectual property law at CLEs and national conventions, presenting on topics ranging from machine learning and copyright to video game legal issues and trademark prosecution modernization. He has also served as an adjunct professor at Gonzaga University School of Law.
