Super Lawyers is an attorney rating service that develops an annual Super Lawyers List of the top lawyers in each state. The Super Lawyers selection process is stringent, and selection one year does not guarantee selection in subsequent years.
Potential Super Lawyers List candidates must first be nominated by a fellow attorney or the Super Lawyers research committee. Nominees are then evaluated based on peer reviews as well as independent research by Super Lawyers. Twelve comprehensive categories of achievement are evaluated. These categories run the gamut from case outcomes to pro bono work to scholarly lectures and publications.
After the extensive evaluation process, no more than 5% of the lawyers in each state are selected to be part of their respective state’s annual Super Lawyers List. Sub-lists recognizing the “best of the best,” including the coveted list of the Top 25 Women Super Lawyers, are developed from the pool of Super Lawyers.
